RAN Naval aviation 1948-1957 EDIT One thing I was Not aware of is the Sydney when first purchased had a hydraulic catapult. The steam one came later.

Sydney didn't ever have an angled deck, Melbourne had the angled deck and steam catapult after her modernisation refit, because she was destined to operate jet aircraft.
