Yes, a very complex character, best remembered for his music. All our music icons are of a certain age, and losing one reminds us of our pending fate. Love the story about his father being a preacher who ran a nightclub, and sold boot leg whiskey on the side. And the one about Little Richard performing in Sydney , seeing the sputnik shoot across the sky and took it as a sign from above, and gave up music for religion. A homosexual black singer in the deep south of America in the days of segregation, he led an interesting life, but entertained us with his songs VALE, Little Richard.

Massive amounts of cocaine and other Substances will cause "celebrities" to have an "interesting " life.
Apart from some of his groundbreaking musicality, we are a strange people who sometimes idolise those with self destructive and sometimes highly antisocial behaviours..
The more I think about it, the more i believe in having more animals around me, than people.😫

I think most of us only know the music. We never meet the musician, or mix in their circles , their music can brighten our mundane lives. I dare say we would not like to know the secret lives of those that are put on pedestals in our society. Across the board.

One of the vanguard of Rock and Roll singers. Sensational entertainer.

Have played many L.R. songs in bands over the years , "Slippin and Slidin" ," Lucille" et. al

For one of his best non rock songs check out " Directly From My Heart To You ".

Superb.
