O.K. guys due to my recent purchase of my Bahama Gold / white Series III hardtop (which I wouldn't have purchased without this forums great technical advise) I have decided to let you, the users of this great resource decide on a name for the beast. The person who suggests the best name gets a beer brought for them or (if interstate and not able to attend) a beer will get drunk in their honor at the expo.

What about Simon? Don't know why, just thought Simon seemed right and a bit understated plus not a lot of people are naming their kids Simon these days.
Simon the Series III Supertroopie if you want to get all 'comic-book' about it.

I like it but naaaah the name has to enstill fear, into the minds of any who dare come across him and his chosen obstical, Simon the Series III Supertroopie that just sounds like an ABBA song remixed by Madonna tis catchy, but what to reward you with, certainly not a Guinness a drink worthy of such a noble task, perhaps a Midori, Flaming lamborghini or perhaps a chocolate drink called a ***********.

I must say they i am currently stumped on "picking a name that strikes terror into all that see her".
But tou got yourself a bargin (and you never even told us about the roll of loo paper and can of WD40 in the back)
The good thing is the back looks big enough to sleep in when your "air suspension" gets to much to handle (she would only be jealous of "old mustard" and the time you are spending with her)
I think every series Landy must be known as "the mistress".
She will be your love and lust (and not answer back!)

Stick with your 'Lord of the Rings' theme (I assume that's where "my precious" comes from?) and call it Galadriel or Sauron. That should invoke fear, at least in the LOTR fans! :)

My late grandmother was called Dorothy and I would appreciate it if you name your new series with her in mind.
Please do not laugh at my suggestion, it fits with the theme as well so that makes it all the more appropriate..
You see, another famous dorothy (wizard of Oz) followed the yellow brick road. See where I am going here with this!
She was accompanied by a fierce lion who made all that he met sh*t themselves with fear and awe.
See I told you dorothy was appropriate:)
Then there was the tin man, indestructable, if a little squeaky and leaky.
See it all fits doesn't it.
Dorothy would be perfect.

I got it home :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
used car salesmen, the plicks, swapped the batteries over on me. I found out the hard way when I stalled it, in traffic, I turned the key and guess what no crank. Naturally no one would help push so I could clutch start it. One idiot directly behind me decided to sound the horn to make me move. I nicely explained to him if he'd like to help push my so called P.O.S I could get it out of his way, If not S.T.F.U. He obliged by taking his finger of the horn, figures.
In the end a Cruiser driver gave me a push, I clutched it, she fired up and got me home. The brakes aren't the best at the moment and the only keys supplied won't fit the door locks, therefore I cannot lock it up. Hey you don't get perfection for $500.00.
I've taken pictures but for some reason my P.C won't read my camera. Thats something to sort out tommorow

I just read a thread by a new member Roadkill
He summed it up perfectly
Old landies never die, the evil dead cannot die, they just get collected, waiting to rise up at the end of the world
Due to that fact that my Landie was literally 5 minutes away and $500.00 away from an untimely death. It seemed fitting that this Zombie theme should flow onto it's name,
A few of you have indicated the colour should reflect the name i.e Yellow, Mustard, Bahama etc...
And finally If the Landy does not have Ken in it's name LandyAndy will hassle the S**t out of me for the rest of my life, and probably the afterlife...
So after careful thought and consultation with my kids, dog and wife
I have chosen
KEN the Mustard Zombie
It seems to fit except for the stereotypical zombie catch cry "Brains" it's a Landie zombie it cries for "Oil"
