First post guys. I recently purchased a D4 2009 TDV6. The centre console covering is torn so I purchased a leather replacement covering off EBay. It looks like it needs to be glued on. I was thinking about using shoe glue or liquid nails. Has anyone done this before ? Any tips?
Thanks Craig

Contact adhesive spray.

Yes..buy a v good brand cause they vary enormously..USA made ones I found r the best..or go to an auto upholstery who will have the best glues.

You can also get it in a tin. Having done mine recently, I'd probably go the tin over the spray fpr this particular job. It gives you a little more control when you just need a little bit.

Might just be me tho.

Re spray V paint. The spray will, imho, give a good even thin coat compared to painting it on by brush. My advice would be to spray the new covering not the console lid. No worries about mess that way.

MartinThats true and why I bought spray adhesive. I chose to spray the cover bit by bit rather than all at once and i found in some finicky bits even a short spray was too much adhesive, or the spray cone was too large and it went where i didnt want it to.

If you sprayed the whole cover at once it'd be fine but its very sticky and hard to adjust, especially if it sticks to itself!

Either way works though!
