please be advised that PayPal no longer refund any fees they charge me when they process a refund

if you request a refund because you doubled up on a payment or had setup dual payment profiles etc those refunds will be minus the fees that PayPal have charged and not refunded.

PayPal Auto Renewing Subscription Mechanisms Explained

When you choose an auto renewing subscription on AULRO.com you setup a billing arrangement with PayPal to automate paying your AULRO.com subscription.

You authorise PayPal as a billing agent to deduct money from your PayPal account and send the amount (minus PayPal fees) to AULRO.com

AULRO.com does not have access to your account so can not take money from your account.

Paypal takes money from you, take their fees out and send AULRO.com the remaining amount.

If anything changes in your PayPal account during the course of the year it generally means that the auto renewal process is broken and you will need to cancel that subscription and create another if it has failed

Not cancelling the subscription means PayPal can and usually will double dip your subscription payment and you will end up paying twice

PayPal also have a double dipping bug that affects some accounts. If AULRO.com receives two amounts from PayPal in your name, it adds both to your account and extends the expiry date of your subscription accordingly.

If you request a refund, AULRO.com will refund you the amount received from PayPal on your behalf. PayPal do not refund their fees as a general rule.
