G'day all,

Hoping there may be someone in the Sydney area who is willing to lend me their D4 unlocked diagnostic tool for the weekend... looking at a D4 tdv6 fo sale.

Want to make sure a 'restricted performance' warning is nothing expensive.

My Nanocom only covers the D2 for now.

Willing to pay a small fee for the privilige.

Thanks

A locked tool will read and clear codes.

A Nanocom not unlocked for a D4 will read and clear codes?

Let me clarify that. As long as the Nanocom is unlocked for a D4 it will be able to read and clear fault codes for any other D4. Not sure if it will read/clear for other models.

I'm in Seven Hills, just up the road.

I have an assortment of tools that will read anything and everything in a D4

test drive it and drive it to cambo, dont forget to check "distance from last reset" or whatever. its the counter on how long the vehicle has been since it was reset, if its sub 10000ks, i would want a reason on paper

Is this the hard reset i've been reading about? Disconnecting terminals and connecting + - leads etc

I think it's called distance since MIL reset. I don't think can be done by battery leads. Either way. Get it read.
