Getting Version 20 of the software

I have been getting the "Software Up to Date" message, even though I know Version 20 is out there, so I called the Service Department at my dealer. I explained the problem and the guy asked for my VIN - the last 8 characters. He did something on Topix and told me to try it again. I have a SIM card and a WiFi connection.

It found the update on the first try so it is now downloaded and installed. Yay!!!

Give it a try if you can't update.

I don't have a SIM (well, not a working one anyway) in the car, just use the home WIFI. I was on 19C and did a check for updates which came back saying I was on the current version. After pressing the "are you sure" button (check again) it came back to say there was a new version. Installed ok, but I haven't noticed any difference yet.

The main reason I wanted it was to stop the media player always going back to the start of track 1 when you turn the engine off. Drives you nuts if you listen to podcasts or audio books. I have not played around with it much to see what else has changed.

We have been travelling for the last four weeks and Version 20 has behaved very strangely... Some times it will continue on with the last song and others it goes back to the start of track 1. It is so annooying we did not even bother trying to listen to a podcast or book if there was any chance of stopping before it finished.

Very frustrating!

I've installed 20 and can see no difference in the cars sometimes quirky media systems.
