Hi all,

I've got two 200ah deepcycles on the property and now that one of the family members are using a c-pap machine it gets drained fairly quickly. To stop it from dropping under 11v I'm planning to put in a low voltage protector to cut power when the voltage hits 11v. The c-pap pulls 350watts, add the lights and the fridge and on top of this I have a 2000watt inverter (max 3000).

What would you recommend, there are some on ebay but they get quite pricy for the 60amp protectors?

cheers and thanks

J

You can get Victron 65 amp isolator for about $70 delivered on evil bay
I don’t think that is going to suit a 2000watt inverter, if it can supply 3000watts, that’s going to draw over 250amps
You may need to install a 300amp contactor to isolate the batteries
Or a smaller contractor controlling the AC side of the inverter

Brings me to the next question, Got an Epever mppt controller and the battery is at 10.4v, is that to love for the controller to charge it as it seems to not be charging at all. This happened a week or so ago so I brought one bettery back home, had it tested and seems the battery is fine. Could it be that the other one is busted?

setup:
2 x 200ah batteries
5 x 100 watt sollar pannels
Epever mppt Tracer3210AN

Cheers
