Jeep have woken up ......

Seeing the latest Jeep TV adverts it appears that they have woken up to the issues the brand has here.

Parts prices lower, more technicians......

When they drive off to get there bigger boat my youngest noticed no tow ball on the Jeep

Still laughing about my test drive of a top of the pops jeep 4wd???. Could not no matter what get over a little lump of neatly mowed grass a Lexus rx350 has no issues with[biggrin] The Jeep salesman tried as failed as well. A few mates in 2wd have since done it with ease[biggrin][biggrin]

Maybe too little too late for them - Their sales have tanked in the last couple of years and now would be a very difficult time to start to try and redeem themselves.

D2's were logistically a nightmare with fantastic capability

same thing both companies offer **** after sales service

When I drove them back to back off road there was a big difference in there abilities between the Sport and Rubicon versions of the Renegade

The biggest problem was and may be still is the price of parts.
They tend to be written off if in minor accidents due to silly parts prices.
Expensive parts prices tend to restrict proper repairs and servicing over the life of the vehicles.
I have seen this first hand.

I've been a Jeep fan for many years and have owned a few.The last one, a Wrangler Sport was a great car - no reliability issues at all. The test drive was an eye opener. It was bitumen and fast dirt followed by some serious low range 4 heel driving in very challenging terrain...very steep, big ruts etc. The sales guy said many test drivers refuse to drive the really challenging bits. He also sold many Wranglers....no wonder really.

101Ron is correct on prices. Like the $2G for a plastic windscreen washer container one customer was quoted.

But as to improved customer service...hmmmmm. They had a similar campaign a few years back under a different CEO but in reality nothing much changed.

Jeep car prices have rocketed in the last few years. The Au$ to USA$ has been a negative influence for us here in Oz. There's a lot of up to 2 years old brand new Jeeps being held by Jeep. Surely that indicates it's a good time to negotiate a good deal.,

But all things considered I reckon another Jeep will live with me...
