Hi Folks,
im nearing completion of fitting dash vents into my County but have hit a bit of a block. I’m struggling to work out how to slide in the big grey trim panel without snapping the stooopind thing. Does anyone have any tips on refitting this ?
cheers

Looks very similar (identical?) to a Tdi . I had mine out a year or two ago and was difficult to get it back in. In fact I think quite difficult to remove. Just a matter of playing around I found and yes it did seem like it was going to break and some point. Brett (Roamingtheoutback) covered it in a video some time back but I don’t think he had any special advice.
Need to remove mine again to replace the wiper wheel things. I have been putting that off for a long time!
Good luck

Thanks guys, I ended up walking away from it before I broke something. Came back to it a few days later and the silly thing just dropped in ..... I must have been holding my tounge the wrong way..... If I didn’t love the car so much at times I reckon I’d cry

Don’t you love how that happens... not!
I had the same issue when I replaced the A frame ball joint on the same vehicle. Took everything off to paint while I was at it then spent days trying to get the arms to fit. Gave up for a few days came back to it and the job was done in under an hour!
