After letting my dad drive my dual cab 110 a couple of years ago and it coming back with a flat roof, doors and pillars, I’ve been looking for the components to reinstate it as a dual cab again
Due to the rareness of dual cabs and the expenses of life, the parts are too expensive
I’ve found a ute tub and a hard top from a 109 for a reasonable price so I was wondering if anyone can advise me on the comparability of the series 3 and 110
I’ll still need to find some doors and windscreen but it’s a lot better than the 4.6 litre and ARB lockers sitting idle until my boys stop sapping my pockets and it will give them another vehicle to have some fun in on the weekends
I would prefer to rebuild it as a dual cab again but by the time I source all the parts the wife will probably take the house and what’s left in the bank

Which windscreen are you intending to use, taller 110 screen or the lower series split screen? A series screen will cause issues wirh your 110 wipers sweep area (too low and the central frame).

If using the series roof I’d have to go with the series window I’ve been told
Looks like the boys (and the missus) might be eating grass for a while whilst I save up for the dual cab parts
Maybe have to go visit my mate with a series and have a look at the wiper setup
Cheers

I did this many many years ago, a Series 3 onto a 110 V8.

From Memory it wasnt a hard job.

The wheel arches need to be enlarged. < not hard
The bonnet/hood whatever you want to call it needs to be replaced, I used a fibreglass one at the time (so your spare cant go on the bonnet anymore :( )
Use the 110 windscreen.

Use the 110 interior.
Use the 110 electrics loom
Rivet/Weld the ventilation flaps.

Everything else from memory fit

Thanks Karlz

Why do I need to change the bonnet,
the bulkhead forward is good, my problem being the roof, doors, pillars, windscreen and rear window, the back tub is good too, I just can’t afford to replace all these to bring it back to a dual cab and I’ve always wanted a 110 PV
Does the defender windscreen fit with a series roof?
I’ve been told if I use a series roof I need to use the series windscreen
My brother in law has a defender roof he has offered me, but I still need to find all the other parts
Maybe I’ll start collecting (don’t tell the missus) all the parts , hide them at the farm and see what eventuates[emoji481]
