Just wondering if anyone here (initially with a D4) has ever been anal/obsessive compulsive enough to do a list of all the little things that possibly/probably should be added to replace as "maintenance" or "watch" items that don't obviously appear in the normal schedule.
There are so many items I've read about and should have, but often forgotten to take a note of, that its not funny.
A simple example is the stoplight switch.
This in turn leads to the when/at what km questions - which in turn are obviously affected by the usage factors eg arduous/city driving, driving in dusty or suspension destroying environments.
The exercise probably needs to be broken down into headings like body, engine, transmission (with a stand alone for electrical) and even sub headings for multifacet areas - maybe like engine ancillaries?
I'd offer to make a start, but there are so many bits I know nothing about, that it would be somewhat limited progress.
Any thoughts from the many gurus here?
Other models may care to do something similar. I did start one for my D2a some time before selling it, but it was more article than line item based - and never did complete a cross reference index.
