Found a site called uboat.net. A history of the U-Boat war. For any one with an interest, fascinating stuff.
About uboat.netOn this site you will find all the German U-boats (https://www.uboat.net/boats.htm) of both World Wars, their commanding officers (https://www.uboat.net/men/) and operations including all Allied ships attacked (https://www.uboat.net/allies/merchants/), technological (https://www.uboat.net/types/) information and much more. You can also browse our large photo gallery (https://www.uboat.net/gallery/) and thousands of U-boat books and movies. While hundreds of U-boats were lost (https://www.uboat.net/fates/) some of the boats are preserved as museums (https://www.uboat.net/fates/today.htm) today.
We also have a huge section covering the Allied forces (https://www.uboat.net/allies/) and their struggle with the U-boat threat - not to mention the Pacific war. Included there are all the Allied Warships (https://www.uboat.net/allies/warships/) and thousands of Allied Commanding officers (https://www.uboat.net/allies/commanders/) from all the major navies (US Navy, Royal Navy, ...) plus technical pages and information on the air forces.
