Gearbox oil looks like beer 🍺

I have an Lt85 I'm running a semi synthetic 15w40. I checked oil levels in my gearbox yesterday and it was quite bubbly, kind of looked like beer.
Has anyone noticed this before? I'm wondering if this is normal and if not can It be used as diagnosis for something not right?

I could try checking it again when I'm less thirsty?

Nothing wrong, it's just engine oil, it doesn't have the level of anti-foamant a dedicated manual trans fluid has.
