Seen the pics, heard the stories so it's time to go and have a look. :)
I know Redback, Discowhite, Scouse and Defenderzook have spent a bit of time out there so I'm looking for any details on worthwile tracks, suggested routes etc. GPS waypoints and track files will be greatly appreciated.
TIA
Henry

Our main house (Mon to Fri) is in between St Helens Park and Appin.
Our weekend/holiday/and-one-day-main-residence-hopefully place is in Cooma.

Hi Matt,
Yeah .. got your replies thanks. How's your schedule looking .. can you make Appin? We had to cancel the Deau NP trip, Noddy spoke to National Parks and they suggested we stay away due to wet tracks. We are affiliated with Tread Lightly so decided to cancel ... ;)

Good to see you all enjoyed yourselves. Ad I would have to agree I enjoy the AULRO outings even when things go pear shaped like this weekend. Everyone mucks in and still seem to enjoy themselves.

Can we get frequent fliers if we leave the ground accidentally or intentionally. ie: survive 3 flights and get an AULRO badge. Could be "frequent frights"? :D:D

Mate it was my pleasure and great to meet you and Barry. Appin delivered in a big way with some "interesting" tracks and certainly a 4wd playground. Chris I've literally got hundreds of pics collected from everyone .. I'll cut you a CD. Below something to wet the appetite:

Photos look good Henry i'm dissapointed i couldnt make it, i really want to do a weekend at Appin before the end of the year in case i get the transfer and dont get the opportunity next year or the year after etc.
Might have to do a trip later in the year, maybe october sometime. Got way to much on between now and then with the expo, res-school for uni and a few other things. Matt

Thanks everyone for a great day.
Great to meet Chris and Barry.
Appin is fantastic for a day trip. Nice and close to home and some excellent tracks.
Talk about cold though.....apparently the wind chill yesterday was just a tad over 1 degree:eek:

Not close to everyones home Noddy. :D
How long would it take to get there from the M4? Or is there a quicker way for me to get there next time? Matt
