I remember going there and up on the observation deck around 1964 or so. Little did I know just how many times that I would transit a few years later! And then obliged to flight plan through there doing my Commercial Helicopter Licence test years later!

People have always flocked to Perth Airport, even when flying was out of reach - ABC News (https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-03-15/unofficial-history-of-perth-airport/12040420)

I remember as a young whippa-snappa going there and watching from the flight deck planes land and takeoff when relies came and went
When I got my license I would park up on Kalamunda road and sneak in to the end of the runway with a few mates (and beers)to watch the planes land and takeoff right over the top of us [emoji481][emoji481]
