Hi Guys,

My rear Dirt bike carrier for my tow hitch doesn’t work right with the D4.

The bar hits the spare tyre underneath and not enough clearance to put the pin in.

Any other carriers people use that fits in without removing spare tyre from underneath car?

I don’t want to buy a trailer and like rear dirt bike carriers.

Thanks

Can’t you just shorten the bar so it doesn’t hit? It doesn’t need to extend beyond the holder.

Have you thought about getting a Mitch Hitch?

I’m not sure if it will ruin the structural integrity of it?

It’s about 1.5cm short

If the steel is longer than the receiver enough to hit the spare tyre, the bit of steel that pokes past the receiver and hits the tyre is not necessary for structural integrity. You should be able to cut it off safely. The important bit is the part that’s inside the receiver and behind the car. Forward of the receiver isn’t necessary.

As John said and I intimated, anything beyond isn’t needed. Trim it and it’ll be fine.
