Saw an interesting story in the local (West Australian) paper, about a suggestion to re-train jobless pilots into - Harvester Drivers. Training has already started, and they're regarded as having a useful skill-set and work practices..- Hours of mind numbing boredom watching gauges, listening for odd noises and waiting for the first signs of $omething Going Wrong.
Our hard border is making it impossible to utilise the tourist back-packer supply, so jobs like harvesting aren't being readily filled with the local unemployed...[bigwhistle]
Anyway, there's also a bit of Close Formation 'flying' when they empty into a 'chaser bin'. We go a teensy bit faster in real life than this [biggrin]

A couple of my mates have been successful getting farm work on harvesters in NSW. Making several multi-million dollar decisions per hour at 10km/h is a doddle, compared to 900km/h plus 🤣
Formation flying is fun. I can just imagine "chasers, vic formation - GO" on the CB 😁
