We have been buying baby coloured carrots lately , so decided to try putting the tops into a saucer of water & see if I could grow some. I went out this morning to put some more in the saucer & they were all gone . This saucer was full last night so I am guising a possum . The saucer is on a table with lots of other small pots of plants I am growing from cuttings& there is no room for Peter the Possum & none of the other plants have been disturbed & normally possums are messy eaters leaving bit's of food on the ground & there was none of that, unless the birds have taken them before I went out this morning this is the 1st time any have gone in the two weeks the saucer has been there . May have to set up a camera. Also I have noticed I have not had any Snow Peas the last week , I had been picking a hand full every day off the two vines but may be they have finished fruiting. Just hoping what ever it is dose not move onto the tomatoes & fruit trees that have just started to fruit .
Wish I had more room for a bigger garden.

My tip is to feed it. Trap and move and another will come in. I have one which is nice and territorial and keeps others out. Once you teach some table manners yours acts as a bouncer to protect your garden. Some extra hot Chilli spray on the veggies might help the training. Nice looking garden [thumbsupbig]

We don't have possums here But we do get plenty of Bobtail goanna's that visit (and a couple of permanent residents).
They do tend to get stuck into the tomato's and cucumbers But they can only reach the low hanging fruits So I just ignore them as they are saving me from having to bend down too far to pick [biggrin]
They scare the bejesus out of the missus with their rather loud hiss when surprised But other than that they are completely harmless.
