Buick and Oldsmobile are essentially the same.

The Oldsmobile 300 was an iron version of the alloy V8 as Buick and Oldsmobile found the alloy motor too expensive to produce.
I often wonder why the 300 never became popular with engine swaps in Land Rovers.

bigger mains on 300 crank,, maybe the machining wasnt possible??
