Hi,
The passenger side front seat belt doesn't retract fully, but now it has also started to jam and not allow the seatbelt to be pulled out.
A while ago I pulled it out and they look non-repairable - is that right? Is the passenger and drivers one the same? Just wanted to see if anyone knew before I try and find a second hand one or a new one. I can't see them being cheap...
Any help appreciated.
Thanks,
Pete

Is it advisable to fit a S/H seat belt? How can you know what strain/accident it has previously been involved in?
Me, I don't shag around with items of safety.

I totally agree with 4bee, besides it would be a lot cheaper and less traumatic to cough up a few hundred now than pay the price if they broke when they were really needed

Agreed. Thanks for that.
Just didn't occur to me...but it got me thinking - what is the requirement for seatbelts after an accident? Do smash repairers have to replace them if an accident was big enough for say the air bag to go off? In Australia, that's a decent accident.

yes they do need to be replaced.....some of them have an indicator at the end.....which need to be replaced if it is visible....
not sure about land rover though....
i dont think they would be all that expensive......and there is a difference from left to right....in the way they mount......
they need to be on the correct angle or they wont work.....
just ring around before you buy one....there will be different prices from different places.....
