Hello all,
Has anyone upgraded the GVM on a single cab 130? I would like to carry a slide-on, but weight will be over the GVM rating by the time all fuel, water, wine etc is loaded.
Cheers.

...fuel, water, wine etc...
See, there’s your problem. Too much fuel and water.... [biggrin]
Can’t help with the GVM I’m afraid as my Defenders were 110 wagons.

How much do you want to carry and how heavy is your tray, I've got over a tonne of carrying capacity on my 2015 Dual cab with a heavy steel tray.
Having said that rear axle loading would probably be your limitation, rear axle on a 2015 130 is 2200KG.

Thanks Tote, yes, from what you say, it seems the rear axle would be the problem. It would be very difficult to put much of the extra weight over the front axle. Mine is currently 2160/3500 kgs so I am not too far off carrying the weight I need with a payload of 1,340 kgs - which by the way, is about a quarter of a ton MORE than a huge Ford F250 can carry.
