Hey All, first post!
I've done a bit of searching, but I am struggling to align any existing post to the exact issue that I'm facing.
Fuel pump seems to be performing an extremely large purge (30+seconds) when I turn on accessory. After it finishes purging, I've got to turn the engine over for an additional 20 seconds before it fires into life.
The purging is the exact same sound as : Land Rover Defender TD5 90 Air Bleed / None Return Valve Replacement - YouTube (https://youtu.be/EwGcT4komUI't=401)
Once the vehicle is going, it'll start on first crank every time until it's left for ~1hour. I've been looking into the issue and at this stage expect it to be the injector washers.
Here is where my problem comes in; yesterday, whilst idling at a set of lights (on an incline) the engine stalled out. I spent a good couple of minutes purging the fuel system, rolled it back onto the flat, then sat cranking the engine for another couple minutes before it eventually came to life.
I've not been able to find a similar case to this online at all and am curious if this behavior supports the injector washers theory, or I should be looking at the fuel pump itself or the air bleed/non-return valve?
Would appreciate any guidance/nuggets of experience!
