Hi our 2009 Discovery 3 Tdv6 is throwing up some codes, I clear them with nanocom and after driving a bit they come back, codes are

Code U0010
Medium speed CAN communication bus.
(Pending)
Bus signal/message failure

Code U0132
Lost communication with ride level Carl module / lost communication with suspension ctrl module A

Code U0164
Lost communication with heating ventilation and air conditioning control module
(Pending)

Code P045D
Exhaust gas recirculating B control circuit. High
( intermittent)
General failure information

These are in Read tested , no faults in Read permanent.

Can anyone give some advice as to what problem/s may be evolving.
Thanks in advance
Rob

The last one EGR failure I’d bet on as is an expected and common fault (with all diesel engines). Choices are replacing with new or a ECU software patch along with physically deleting them.

Touch wood - my MY08 still on originals at 235k km but something I want to delete ASAP

Just to add to original post.

Vehicle has 197000 and still drives great.

You'll probably find if you clear them they will eventually come back, but you won't ever notice why the got logged in the first place, And won't notice what problem they are causing either!

The only one of concern is

Code P045D
Exhaust gas recirculating B control circuit. High
( intermittent)
General failure information

You need new EGRs or get them blanked and ECU patch installed to cancel the check engine light.

Communication errors come and go and are only a concern if consistent and cause fault lights and messages.

Some of the EU4 spec tdv6's don't actually put the check engine light on if you have failed egr's, does anyone know if simply blanking these is enough? Or is there other engine related issues that can be caused?

Cheers

All i have heard is the opposite, early ones are fine but EU4 need the software patch to remove the CEL.
I'll find out soon as i just blanked mine.

I'm not sure though when the change happened.

05 & 06 can be blanked
07 onwards need EGR patch

Ours is a 7A vin, it throws egr fault codes but doesn't put the light on.
