Stereo steering wheel controls

Hi guys and Gals, I am in the process of fitting a wide screen head unit to my 1995 P38 and I need to know the colour of wires that go to the steering wheel controls. I think the butcher's apprentice did the wiring for the current head unit. Any help would be greatly appreacheated.

Hi Alan,
Easiest way is to get yourself a PAC - SWI-RC interface from car audio store. That way you can configure buttons to your liking.
I fitted a Pioneer 2xdin unit with this & works great!

Hi Martin,
I have a 8.8 inch Joying head unit and it should work with the steering wheel controls. I just need to know the wiring colours. There is 2 orange/white wires that were not connected so I am hoping they might be the ones. If I have trouble I will chase up one of those units. But I will have to order one in, as getting anything special around here is Bloody hopeless. Thanks for your advice.
