Start button presses itself

I have a 2010 RRS TDV8

Recently and ittermittently its like the start button presses itself while driving

I have replaced the start button

The car will cut the engine while driving like the start button is being pressed

The ignition will switch on and off while parked

The car is fine for the first hour of driving then the problem starts

It also flashes engine system fault intermittently

I have had it connected the the coputer and the only codes are for BCM start button a and B

I would appreciate any input anyone has on this problem

Definitely is a start/stop button problem. If the switch has been replaced then someone's going to have to check the wiring for chafing as the first possibility, maybe somewhere close to the switch if lucky, unless the wiring is broken at the switch connector and is making intermittent contact.

The black wire at the switch is earth so a continuity check of it could be made with an ohm meter while wriggling the wire a little.
