‘This is a dark day’: Qantas will outsource its ground handling services after bids from local operators failed, resulting in roughly 2000 job losses (msn.com) (https://www.msn.com/en-au/travel/news/this-is-a-dark-day-qantas-will-outsource-its-ground-handling-services-after-bids-from-local-operators-failed-resulting-in-roughly-2000-job-losses/ar-BB1btr5R?ocid=msedgntp)

Swissport is one of the companies doing Qantas ground operations. It is Chinese owned. A problem?

And this and other actions are why Joyce is known within Qantas as "The Irish Git".

From what I've heard, that is about the only description of Joyce within QANTAS that is permissable on AULRO...

once again, high wages and demand for cheaper flights have lead to this.

They have form on this since the 2000's. I cant remember whether it was Strong or Scrotum Face who made load controllers and flight dispatchers redundant. Those groups had to go through what was called "competitive tendering" process to attempt to keep their jobs. Although they were successful in that instance, many still lost their jobs.

The toxic and narcissistic attitude QF management has towards its staff is why I left in 2008.

The Union is taking Qantas to court. Can't see them winning , some how.
