Gentlemen,
I am getting ready to install new 5mm Perspex windows, in my 1953 80", which I bought from the UK Series 1 Club Shop.
As part of my research, I came across this BritParts article on the subject. Scroll down to the article titled :
How to get Series 1 though Screen Test

Body | Britpart (https://www.britpart.com/lro-workshop/questions-and-answers/series/series-1/body)

Lots of really helpful information, but I cannot seem to find the Aluminium edge referred to for 5mm Perspex window.
As there article said, that part does not appear in the Parts Manual although my 1953 80" did come with them, although too badly worn to reuse.

many thanks
Jeff

The article clearly states that the aluminium edge was only used on the thinner later Perspex to bring it up to the same thickness as the earlier ones.. In other words not needed on 5mm Perspex.
