Gday folks.
I haven’t been on AULRO much lately unfortunately.
Haven’t had time to do much to the big girl lately due to work, family and headspace requirements.
I was planning a break from work to do some work on my 130 with Greg and also fit the 2nd hand gaurds Ive had in my driveway for 2 months to repair the damage from the last 2 bingles.
Until some poor kid in an i40 turned right, 10m in front of me last Monday evening.
Thankfully we were both ok. The i40 was pretty much destroyed but, 3rd time around, my poor 130 had to be towed away. ☹️
Crash shop reckons she’ll be a write off due to bent chassis rail on the ps front where bull bar mounts.
Unfortunately in nsw that’s a death sentence for the car, I believe.
I’ve had very few accidents in 30+ yrs of driving but this will make my 3rd accident for 2020 - none of them avoidable or my fault 🙄
Anyways, mustn’t grumble, I feel I’ve had a good year, compared with some poor buggers.
So, if you have a nice clean 130 that you wish to part with, I’d be happy to hear from you!
Preferably a td5 I think, though if you have a specced up 300tdi that will keep up with traffic, I’d think seriously about it.
I’m a builder, so it’s a daily driver and I like to get out on the tracks a bit and put her through her paces too but mostly she’ll be set up to tour.
Doesn’t matter too much on your location, I’ve bought Defenders in different states before; it’s a good adventure!
