Freelander 2 bulb check at start up

Hi there fellow Landie owners. We have a beautiful Freelander 2 2014. My husband just changed the oil filter and oil. When reading the owners manual it says that the oil bulb will appear for 3 seconds on the message center (on the dash at start up and then it will go out. Well.... O
urs does not appear at all. Is this normal as we are getting conflicting information on the net?

No idea as yet as only owned ours for a week. Will look today and report back
I’m sure there’s more educated with FL2’s and will reply once they see it
