Peugeot citroen?

Could anyone enlighten me as to why there is an Peugeot and citroen stamp on the block? Aparently its a 3.0sdv6... I only ask as maybe there is a more cost efective route on some parts

It’s a Ford PSA motor. The 2.7 tdv6 was an option in some Peugeot cars, and in some Fords.

The PSA Ford motors also features in the Freelander/Evoque/Disco sport, Mondeo, and several other cars.

Some parts are probably common but there were so many changes even with the JLR motors that buying a Ford or Peugeot or Citroen part with confidence for a JLR motor is difficult.

The 2.7 L (2,720 cc) V6 is built by Ford and Jaguar Cars at their Dagenham facility, and was designed by Ford engineers at their Dunton and Whitley product development centres. It is called AJD-V6 by Jaguar and DT17 by PSA Peugeot Citroën.

Ford and PSA extended their Diesel engine joint-venture in October, 1999, to include this V6 engine.
