Has anyone got the dimensions of where to cut a hole in the rear floor of a MY13 90 to allow fuel pump replacement from above

I didn’t realize pumas had fuel pumps in the tank...thought it was only TD5

To the best of my knowledge, the 2.4 TDCI does not have an in-tank pump, but the 2.2 tdci does.
The tank itself can be removed from below with some effort. Probably a better solution than cutting a hole in the floor. There is a chapter on this in the service manual, it looks like a cumbersome job, but not unachievable.

I realize I am NOT answering the actual question (sorry...) BUT on Puma 90, fuel tank removal is not fun (as previously implied). It looks like the tank was assembled to the chassis from above during production... And now there's a body inconveniently in the way... [emoji849]

This thread from Defender2 describes one approach: DEFENDER2.NET - View topic - Fuel Leak... Have you seen this before? (https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic25866.html)

...and is prolly a good indication why the OP is asking the question they are! And hopefully someone will answer it shortly. [emoji16][emoji106]

Thanks for the above input I looked at the link to Defender Net a lot of work to get at the tank
hence the hole in the floor but where to cut to keep it to minimal size

Here's a question for you: How many Ks has your 2.2 done, and what alerted you to the need for a new pump?

Just seen this, it’s a mates car not sure of the mileage, he’s somewhat of an over thinker and got it in his head from some where that he should check the fuel pump. He’s a bit remote from me and I don’t see him that often.I sent him some links from internet and he emailed me back that the hole had been cut and fuel pump removed and refitted next time I see him I’ll find out why he needed to do this.

Well, I think his overthinking could end up saving him a few grand. Everyone with a 2.2 should have their fuel pump check or possibly even replaced after 100,000 Ks. Mine got tired at around 120,000. It didn't fail, just didn't deliver enough pressure to the Injector Pump, thus causing the Injector Pump to overwork and wear. The pumps don't stop working but far to deliver whin you ask it for a bit more. This sends the car into Limp Mode. The Throttle vale shut with a snap and it feels like you've put the hand break on I suspect This may have been the cause of a loan Turbo in mine.
Fuel pumps are cheap but Injector pumps and Turbos are expensive. You could drive around for a long time without knowing you have a problem. I the Throttle valve snaps shut when you're at full noise you coulfind yourself hearing the unmistakable POP a Blown Turbo.

Will give reasons for when I next see him as I said earlier he’s a little bit elusive

Caught up with my mate on the weekend at the Orbost show
the reason for the hole cutting was he was worried about possible future fuel pump issues
Coupled to this the Land Rover dealership guesstimated $1000-$1200 for a fuel pump replacement in a 90 due to difficulty’s in dropping the tank
Hole was cut and pump is easily accessible showed me photos on his phone only one fore and aft top hat section gets cut
interestingly the tub support members are the same as are on a series
He was in a hurry as he and two lady friends had to get to the beach.......however next time I see him I will get the photos off him and post them here
