Awhile back whilst surfing the forums, there was a mention of the voltage drop to the fan motor on the air conditioning unit. Measured mine and with the fan on three, voltage showed 11.3 going into fan motor. Jumped a wire from battery to motor. Wow noticeable difference to fan speed. Will be fitting a toggle switch. Any one see any issues with this setup voltage wise.

You could pop a relay in there instead to save the switch requirement.

Edit: sorry, misread and thought this was the fan in the grill not the fan for the cab air. Switch would be good, gives you four settings! Will have to check this out myself

Someone posted details of a similar fix for the Defender Aircon fan voltage issue a while back. I've looked but can't find it now. I'm sure it will pop up here soon.
Don.

Don, I would guess that is the post I was referring to. Buggered if i can remember where it originated from. But it appears to work. Baz
