Was wondering if anybody has tried or looked at the 'Autophix' OBD diagnostic tool (model 3210)? I was looking for a cheaper option than the GAP etc for a D4.
It's a bit generic I think, but claims to reset (and decipher) fault codes. I don't want to fiddle with any presets etc. The Autophix is well priced, but I'm a bit nervous that it is being peddled by a certain Pat Callinan publication.

Give them a call, the are very helpfull.Or go onto their site and you will be able to live chat to them.
Many use the Scan tool or Ultra guage for the non LR stuff.
Even though the GAP is more expensive,it’s light years ahead of those mentioned above.I had one for my D4.

Will do...at least they offer support in Australia. I also thought the GAP tool might confound me. This one looked really simple.

Be careful - I seriously doubt it can read all the ECUs in the vehicle and will likely be limited to Engine, Transmission, ABS and maybe SRS at best.
Your vehicle will have around 32 modules in it. Snap On tools cant access them.

I bought a cheap Launch Creader V+ to start with, it read all ecus no problem, does basic dtcs and clears most but not all. Does a cool live trend graph where you can select which parameters to plot (eg engine rpm vs manifold pressure vs fuel rail pressure etc.) Not bad for a $50 code reader. Got us out of trouble a few times.
It now lives in my wifes Jeep GC WK2 and can read all ecus and clear dtcs in that no worries.
I've since got the Rovacom unit, bluetooth unit, works very well, can detect and clear all codes. The GAP iid is great from what ive read, never used one on my car, had a play with the one Gavin on here has on his D3.
Tried the Foxwell pro, does everything very well, but too bulky to carry around, more of a workshop diagnostic tool, you can recode injectors etc with that one.
Imho most recent code readers will work ok, its personal choice really.

It reads all the ecus?
Doors? Entertainment? Instrument pack? Bluetooth, suspension etc?
That’s excellent, but unusual.
