Well everyone seemed to have a good day out yesterday at Boomerang Farm Golf Club...I certainly had a good time.....good to swing a club again and in good company as well.....Harry, your wife Chris can certainly hit a ball for someone who "doesn't play golf"!!
I believe Glyn and his team won the round and with a self paid trip to Fiji as the prize, they have done very well:D
Only 3 pull buggy roll overs in our group - Rob, not sure you should be allowed on any of our actual driving trips with driving skills like that:rolleyes: :D
Josh, thanks for organising the food for the day and Glyn thanks for organising the day through your Golf club and for cooking all the food.
We had a total of 13 turn out for 4 ball ambrose golf with a further 7 or so turn up for the BBQ afterwards so all in all a good social day out and something we will look at doing again very soon.........for those die hard golfers amongst us, we should even think about putting a team together to challenge some of the other 4x4 clubs around. For those other 4x4 clubs reading this....get practising!!!
Thanks again everyone for coming along, I hope you all had a good day out and will sign up again for another day out.......spectacular setting for the course and great for an afternoon walk..........with the occasional smack of a golf ball:D
Until the next round, Mick

Good day had by all, even if we had 3 pull buggy roll overs between X-box and his son on the same hole down hill:o :D I seem to remember some photos of x-box trying to do the same thing to his 110, this time we did not have snatch straps to stop hime rolling the buggy:p but you would think that once was bad enough but once x-box had righted it he proceed 2 paces and rolled it again:o  :D .
In saying that we had a great 4 ball with some great golf shots to win the day by 4 shots, so great combination of ex-africans to take the day.
Thanks to everyone a great social day out- look forward to the next one, Now wheres the skirmish and go-karts - Josh we're waiting.
Cheers

yep it was a good day, even for two mug golfers like my wife and i.
we have to thank rob and mick for saving/'putting' up with us and we both want to do it all again.
mick and bolts - thanks for a great day [although we aren't sure if bolts and x-box don't need counselling for their mathamatical skills at the end of the day, chris and i both know that mick and rob won the day!]

I know, can you beleive it.....some smiles had faded by the 4th or 5th holes mind you:eek: :D Indeed a great day out though in a great setting, no excuses from you next time Tim as lots there were, by their own admission, "non golfers" but had a great time........although Harry's wife said she was no golfer but she could certainly hit a ball.
Will keep you posted with the dates of the next golf challenge and will try and orgainsie prizes this time.....as long as I win of course - Josh can you give me some hints on how to organise prizes and then win them yourself;) :D :D

Hi Mick, had no hope of making this one as I had been booked up for a 50th in Moree for over 12 months, but I’ll be at the next one and should be coming along for the mystery night, tomorrow week.
Cheers.
