Hey all,
I recently purchased a second hand discovery 3 fitted with a Hayman Reese towbar. However, given that it lowers the back end of the vehicle reducing the car 4x4 capacity, Im hoping to remove it but unsure of how to do so. Ive tried to locate installation instructions or youtube videos and just go backwards through the steps, but Ive had no luck finding any advice or procedures on how these are installed. The main issue Im having is three bolts in either side connecting the towbar to the chassis as shown in the attached images. It is apparent that there is a nut within the chassis because when I rotate one of the nuts which can be seen in the photos the thread also rotates. Does anyone know how I can access the nut within the chassis? I assume Ill have to remove the rear black panel which Im happy to do once the rain outside eases up, but want to be sure before moving forward.
Any help is greatly appreciated!!
