Alternative for the L.R Puma Key Fob

My key fob for my 2016 Puma looks like a busted arse.
The plastic sheath providing protection for the circuitry within the fob has enlarged and misshaped to the point that a stray drop of water will easily penetrate the innards.
Has anyone found a viable alternative which is more robust?

Left field guess here. What freq is the fob using? I guess what I'm asking is could you use another Valeo ( assuming it is Valeo ) fob programmed via Nanocom or whatever tool works on Pumas?

I found this which presumably moves the board to a different style case.

OEM part numbers for the 2 button remote seem to be LR087107 or LR087665

So anyway, I thought I might as well ring Landrover and see what they have to say. Yeah no problem bring it in we'll swap over the case for $28.00. I turn up after driving for 40 mins hand over the key and he realises I was asking for a Defender key and not a Discovery key. No worries lets try the discovery key fob anyway. Swapped the innards over and works a treat. Only difference is the lock symbol is still the lock symbol but the unlock symbol is a light symbol. The L.R salesmen then says "well you came in for a Defender Key Fob and I've given you a Discovery key fob so there's no charge"! How good is that!!

I have a MY16 Defender 90, and needed a new key fob cover/shell, these guys helped me out, it cost $180 , but is very good quality, etc Northside Car Keys - Brisbane's Premier Automotive Locksmith (https://northsidecarkeys.com.au/)
