Swing away spare wheel carrier for a DS?

Hi All
Does anyone know of a swing away type spare wheel carrier that suits a DS? Reason: I’d like to carry a second spare without needing a roof rack or a trailer, and I don’t want it inside the car.

Would be completely custom for a vehicle mounted unit.

You may get away with a tow bar mounted version for short use, would drive you mad accessing the rear though.

Not sure if it exists but Murray from Rididij offroad does custom swing away carriers..

He does great work - built a system for my 101..

I have just purchased a 2020 DS and I am looking for a way to carry another spare wheel. I hope to find something that connects to the tow bar hitch and will tilt and is strong enough for doing some mild 4WDing.

Tilting Spare Wheel Carrier – Mirack Products (https://mirack.com.au/product/xt-tilting-rear-wheel-carrier/) looks pretty capable. Fold down and can angle the wheel. Not sure of strength but a $600 worth a look. They have a swing out as well.



There must be others .......

I have since purchased a Mirack tilt tow bar hitch mounted plus a number plate mounting. I think they come from Perth. All up cost (including delivery) was about $750. It looks pretty capable and looks strong enough.

I will report back when it is delivered and after I try it.
