Sometimes I wonder why I bother

Last week, I had to do drive up to Bathurst for work. All the way up and all the way back the auto in my 90 was playing up. I dropped into Bruce Davis on the way back and it looks like that oil leak will finally get fixed, the box is coming out in a few weeks for a major service.
But, on the bright side, I have my 110 truck cab at home that I can drive in the meantime. went to move it on the weekend and the clutch felt funny. Checked to fluid and it was dry so I put some more fluid in but there was obviously air in the system.
So on Sunday, I bled the clutch hydraulics and got all the air out of the system. Locked everything off and disconnected bleeding hose, topped up the fluid and tried the clutch......Flamin thing goes straight to the floor.
I'm not going to stuff around with rebuild kits for the master and slave, I'm just going to replace both.
I'm really hoping I can sort it out this weekend or I'll have to sink to the level of my wife's Discovery.

While a soulless vehicle the old Camrys are quite amazing - still drive great after all these years, quite and ample power in the old V6. Just passed my old Vienta Wagon onto my Daughter who’s doing it a bit tough. Has 275,000KM on it - spent most of its life as a delivery vehicle in the city for a printing company - a bit rough around the edges but still going strong.

I know others with the same model with over 400,000 on them with only things like brakes and tyres ever required.

They certainly don’t build them like they used to.

They certainly don’t build them like they used to.

Hi Ace vans are pretty similar,i just replaced a by pass pipe on the cooling system, that had a slight weep.
That was on our oldest one that is kept as a spare,300 000km,13 yrs old,its first repair.
Its even on its original brakes, we have had it since new.
Ridiculously reliable, and low maintenance.
