I drives can apparently be fitted to any vehicle with a fly by wire throttle, on all websites they haven’t any to suit the puma defenders. Anyone successfully fitted one or made something work?

I have a 2010 2.4 puma for reference

It’s manual.

Hardly a market for such a short throw pedal I’d say.

Get a BAS remap and ask him to work the throttle map if you need more.

Pumas already have multiple throttle response maps for low and high range as well so a BAS remap is probably a good solution if you feel you need it for one without impacting the other.

I only ask as I recently went in a friends 76 series land cruiser which was a manual and it was fitted. Made loads of difference to drivability on the road.

the great thing about it is that it is using the factory fuel/air tune. So no real risks involved compared to the BAS. I have considered it but wouldn’t mind doing the cat delete with a better dump pipe and inter cooler with piping first.

I contacted I drive which is in Bayswater Melbourne and they don’t do one for the defender but they are always looking for new vehicles so I naturally offered to lend my car if it made
one available.

76 certainly need it - they’re horrible in stock form. And linear throttles. Defender is multi table.

There’s no risks with the BAS tune either.

Cat delete and IC won’t do anything notable on their own.
