I've seen the Red Dot that Weeds put in, and it seems like a suitable upgrade from my frustrating original under-dash unit, that stopped working again today. I remember Rainman did a good job on his quite a while ago, but was wondering if anyone new builds have been posted or new ideas have been identified. Anyone able to point me at options?

Ranga, have seen this?

Defender Air Conditioning - Ministry of Defender (https://ministryofdefender.co.uk/defender-air-conditioning.html)

I know nothing more than what's on their web sites.

Something from Vintage Air maybe, but I know I'll never get around to that as a project

Yeah, saw that a few weeks ago. Looks like a good idea (love the higher vents), but concerned the BTU is too low.

Not a new build ... but still working

Air Con: Red Dot 6100 on 1999 Td5 130 Dual Cab (https://www.aulro.com/afvb/90-110-130-defender-county/130351-air-con-red-dot-6100-1999-td5-130-dual-cab-post1497222.html#post1497222)

Going Bush did an aftermarket under dash unit, mounted at roof level in the load area blowing forward. IIRC
Someone else did something similar but mounted above the rear seats.

Both have build threads here somewhere.

I've thought about it, but a bit too obtrusive for me, and with my camper I would have to mount it forward on the inclined section of the roof. Also, not enough vents for point at all 4 passengers - not that you probably need it!

I think the other one was by Rainman. I'll have to have another search.
