Hi Guys,

LONG time no post... and what on earth is happening with Defender prices! The seem to have risen again!

I was browsing 'carsales' and saw this lovely low km example... (see link below) and apart from the price I read this in the advertisement....

+ More powerful engine with 110kW of power and 400 Nm of torque (versus standard 90 kW and 360Nm). This is a 22% increase in power and 11% increase in torque and you can feel the difference when you drive it back to back with the standard less powerful version. The final cars got this more powerful engine which is a little known fact. This is substantiated by the Owners Handbook.

Is this true? I am wondering if so, perhaps my Landrover Main Dealer could re-flash the ECU to get the same result? I know the 'Adventure' and 'AutoBiography' editions also had the more powerful version... and perhaps the 'Heritage' as well...

Mine is still going brilliantly... 27k km's done now, the engine has really loosened up and it drives so nicely!

Cheers,

Pete.

The BAS tune is pretty common.

The sons was done, certainly livens them up.

I had a look through Carsales a few days ago, and was amazed how many late model Puma 90's are listed.

Not a good time to be selling one, heaps of competition.

I'm pretty sure the very last series did have a factory tune in them, so I think this was true. It may be a BAS tune sold as part of OEM.

Yeah the Autobiography last few Defenders certainly had a tune.
I always assumed that this was why the BAS 150 tune was called the 'autobiography 150' because it was the same as the Autobiography Defenders?

Dunno whether BAS actually did the tune for LR though.

Only the Autobiography and the adventure 90 had the uprated tune
The adventure 110 did not unfortunately for me
