Hi All,
Boy rang this morning saying he couldn't disable the immobiliser via the fob.
By sheer luck, the car being a bitsa we assembled from donors, I wasn't expecting to find the manual in the glove box, let alone the EKA.
But there it was on a scrunched up card at the bottom of the glove box! Dodged a bullet.
But what to do now? The fob LED glows when buttons depressed, but no action.
I do suspect the receiver, or immobiliser as for the last 12months, the fob has locked and unlocked as normal, however when inserted in the ignition, the unlock button had to be pressed again before the imobiliser would allow the engine to start.
The boy has a spare fob, but can't find it. I'll prob change the battery just in case.
I have a nanocom and have searched the fora, but really, have no idea where to look or how to test.
Suggestions
Cheers
Ralph
