Hey so my re build of a 58 SWB has reached the rear half shafts. Getting the new bearings etc pressed on and I'm pretty sure the oil seals are on the wrong way.

Does anyone have a pic of the oil seal in place, the right way round?

As I understand it, the seal is to keep oil out of the brakes, hence the lip needs to point towards the differential. I could not locate a picture - the ones in my manual are not clear.

As John said the one in the workshop manual are not clear but if you look closely you can see the how the seal is fitted .
