Hi There,
Like a few others on this forum we are waiting for our new Defenders to arrive and a number of us have used or considering using XPEL PPF.
I believe this XPEL comes in either gloss or satin. Just wondering how a new pangea green Defender would look with satin XPEL ? Not sure if there is much difference in $ cost.
Any ideas or views whether the gloss or satin would either mark easier or show the dirt more ? If its the same cost, the satin might look quite good for some thing different.

Check to see if Land Rovers own Satin "wrap" is actually Xpel stealth/matt PPF.. might be wrong. I had my Eiger done in Xpel Ultimate gloss PPF with the Xpel ceramic
coating on top, mostly to protect against bush strips and its planned lap around OZ, unsealed gravel roads will make up a large part of its first 2 year odyssey
When i inquired about using stealth/matt finish, i was informed whilst the labour charges would not change, the stealth film was 40% more expensive than the Xpel
ultimate gloss..

Thanks for the info Zilch.
There are 2 local authorised Xpel installers near me in Melb - so probably best I go see both of them and get there recommendations, as well as quotes.
I thought the Satin may look great and different, but if it shows the marks/dirt and is significantly more expensive than the gloss ultimate, I'l stick with the gloss ultimate.
