"Do you want fries with that?"

:whistling:

I "up sized" mine with the inbuilt fire extinguisher option.

:p

Having said that both of mine have been very well behaved...I know that it is fast food but Dell have a successful formula that others have to beat...how long does any computer last from a functional point of view ...they are disposable

I bought my latest with a company discount and a tax free salary sacrifice $4,800 worth of laptop for well under half the price.

In two years I can do the same again.

Haha... I saw that yesterday...

I use a Dell Latitude D820.... (the case is made of Magnisium they tell me - hoping it's actually Magnesium alloy.)

I was looking at that..... and thinking back to high school chemistry.. with bunson burners and manesium strips:eek::eek::eek:.

Think I might keep the laptop OFF my lap:p

Hey Mahn.. don't you just love those salary sacrifice toys....

it's really only successful for them, this formula screws australias next generations in the long run. this generation leaves a terrible legacy ....

True..... but buying with a 3 year warranty..... means the kids get the hand me downs..... cheap finance for laptops for them....

And anything I buy for me that is only 1 year old will be more than they need....

Oops, hi-jacked. Can anyone please explain to me how this "salary sacrifice" on lap-tops work? I have not done any research to this topic, but a guy at work did it for a lap-top, and said he had to buy the lap-top out of his own pocket first. Is there any truth to this?

Depends on how your company account work it...
