PUMA 130 clutch fail

Just got home in a flat bed with the 2012 130 on the back[bawl].

The clutch has felt weird for a few weeks, slow to return

Today the clutch went to the floor without resistance and stayed down. The pedal spring held it down although I can pull it up by hand
The fluid reservoir is full and cant see any leaks around master or from clutch housing. Can see a slight surge in the fluid in the reservoir when operating the pedal by hand
The clutch is engaged so Im hoping that eliminates the clutch springs
Ive checked the master pedal rod and it is secure

Im hoping its a bypass in the master as that should be a relatively easy fix.


Can the slave cylinder fail without leaking?

Any advise appreciated

After some advise from independent in Perth, I clamped off the hose to the clutch housing. The pedal went solid.
Unfortunately this indicates the slave is the faulty component or perhaps clutch mechanism. Independents are booked out for at least 3 weeks so Ive got a gearbox out job ahead[bawl]

My 2012 130 clutch slave failed at 90 K's, Ritters did a full clutch kit and master and slave cylinder at the same time.
They also replaced the gearbox output shaft that fails as well.

The clutch is much lighter and smoother now, and all the driveline slack is gone.

Yes, sure do, its not like the old models.

A PITA job, and while its out, why not do all the other work that will need doing shortly, clutch,adapter shaft,Transfer and gear box seals, and on it goes.[bigsad]

Been there done that, the fun of owning a Puma[biggrin]
