Hi all,
I know there's not that many people from SA but there's a few. Have any of you had any good experiences with auto transmission repairers in Adelaide, specifically on the ZF gearboxes? I've got a well known auto place that's looking to charge me $1100 to flush the ZF Lifeguard 6 fluid twice and replace the pan with a new genuine ZF steel one with replaceable filter. Not bad perhaps but the cost of the fluid is on top of that. I asked if any of the valves/seals were being replaced and was told they're not. Landrover were still insisting that the gearbox is 'sealed for life', even though I've done near 200,000kms so I'm a bit limited in who I can go to that actually knows ZF boxes.

TRS are booked out until May as were the other local Landy specialists but I'm hoping to find someone who knows ZF autos that can provide with me another quote.

Cheers

PCB are excellent but hard to get in as they’re usually booked out 6 weeks in advance. Worth asking Peter tho. He might know someone else. Last time I got my 3.0 trans flushed Peter recommended another brand that he was happy to use in his own car. I’ve had no issues since

Pretty easy to do all that yourself, i did my seals and steel pan upgrade a few weeks ago and did a flush at the same time.
