Military Series 3 soft top seatbelt mounts

Hi all, I am currently working on getting an ex-Military 1978 Series 3 soft top back on the road.

When I purchased the vehicle, the front seats only had lap sash seatbelts on the outer seating positions.

I was wondering if this is the standard set up, or whether these were originally equipped with retractable or static lap and diagonal belts. If so, can anyone who might have a similar vehicle send me some pictures of the original “upper” mounting position for these?

got retracts on my Series3 Lightweight, I machined some T6 clamps that go around the roof bar for the shoulder point , retract is mounted on the original shoulder anchor on the body cap rail .

Thanks goingbush. Do you know if the retractables were originally fitted though? I’m trying to make sure my seatbelts are as they were when they left the factory...

No definetly not factory fitted .
