Thought I’d share something my wife has been working on for Soldier On. It’s her first attempt at anything near this size.

Our local Soldier On secretes some dollars for material amd asked the bride if she could knock something up.....

Re-post from her Facebook page......oh she is available for any commission work [emoji6]

Since Christmas I have been working on this little project, approx. 15m wide by 4 to 5m high (Massive project, well for me anyway). It was done for a company called Soldier On they offer support services for veterans. They wanted to brighten the space up, with a dedicated theme to them. Hope I achieved this, for you.
I would like to make a special thanks to Jesse Raine, Kay Edwards, Kay Adams and Katie Chisholm for their exception support and painting talents. Thanks you very much, it was great working with you all. Xx

That looks great! I can never understand how they get the picture so perfect. Although my painting ability goes as far as stick figures.[emoji23]

Awesome stuff, the bugler with the poppy field in the background is particularly moving.

Me too.
Although I've recently found that if you draw 2 stick figures slightly offset to each other, you get a proper person! And for bonus art skills, if you make the stick lines further apart, you can draw a fat person!

It really brings home how big the work is when you see her on the scaffold. Fantastic job! I imagine you are super proud of her!

Yep proud, and now she has her weekends back.

Not sure if she logged total hours.

Either way there is a Brewery across the road.......good chance for me to taste a beer or two than poke my head in and check on progress.

Hats off the your wife, a great job, and well appreciated by the veteran community as well, I'd say.

Wife was chuffed this week as she was approached by a psychologist that works work with veterans asking for six art pieces to be used as part of the process of helping veterans. Oly had a couple of days to produce.

Six images attempting to capture the highs and lows from enlistment to post service.

Although, a couple of the pics have a USA theme, said artist was send examples, I didn’t dare critique the artist. One off them is based on a movie scene.

My son is featured in the first piece…….although he accepted a commission I’m not sure about the service he aligned with. Received his commission at Bulimba Naval Base. I did suggested he track down the guy that was the commander? at Bulimba and share the pic.

I won’t post the other pics as it was a paid commission……..hopefully they don’t mind me sharing this one.
